Jade Plant

toxic to pets when ingested

Jade Plants are native to Southern Africa. Lush green, round foliage resembles jade stones but in plant form. They resemble small trees with a woody base and branching out stems. Like most succulents this plant enjoys lots of sunlight and moderate watering. Easy houseplant for homes and offices.

Light: Place in a south or west facing window providing lots of light and some direct sunlight.

Temperature: Average room temperatures between 65-75 degrees F are best.

Water: Water when the plant needs it not on a schedule. Allow soil to almost dry between watering. Do not allow soil to completely dry out. If the soil feels dry it’s time to water.

Nutrients: Feed every 2 weeks with a balanced houseplant feed at half strength during the spring/summer. No need to feed in the winter.

Soil: Use regular potting soil or African Violet soil.

Repotting: Repot young plants every spring. Repot older plants that are 10+ years old every 2 years or as needed to refresh soil.
