Everyone Must Do Their Part

Geraniums

Fellow Green-Thumbs,

Your desire to get out and garden this year has amazed us. We are working hard to keep up with the demand for our flowers, while doing our best to stay safe and “distant.” We are busier than ever.

I understand that coming to see us is a more colorful experience than going grocery shopping, and that many of you have been trapped in your homes for weeks and are excited to be out. Our employees are risking their safety everyday by coming to work and allowing you to shop with us. Please be mindful of the role you also play in their safety.

We have worked hard to widen our walkways, install shields for our cashiers, change our hours to stock our benches without customers present, control our occupancy levels, cover our faces when communicating with people and social distance. This past weekend I did not feel that all our customers have taken this virus as seriously as we have. We need your help.

I cannot tell you how blessed I am to be open, and in this industry. May is an exciting time of year for all gardeners. Please do your part to wear a mask and remain at least 6’ away from other customers and staffers while here. If you do not, we could all wind up at home quarantined for the best 2 weeks of the Spring. How could we help you then?

Mother’s Day is on the horizon as well as the last potential frost of the season. I look forward to helping you all find the color you need for your yard and providing you with a family activity that does not involve streaming something on your tv.

Thanks again for taking the time to read this, and for being a loyal supporter of a small, family business.

Stay Healthy and Take Care,

Derek Lynde
