Biden

Bidens are trailing annuals great for adding texture and a pop of bright flowers to any combination. They are perfectly paired with Petunias in our popular City Baskets that you may have noticed in many parts of Maple Grove or in patio pots for a splash of yellow. They are hardy in full to part sun areas provided they get the proper amount of water and care to thrive. When planted the foliage and flowers grow to create a mound eventually cascading over the edge of a hanging basket or patio pot. They compliment with just about any other colored annual.

Light: Plant in full to part shade, providing at least 4-5 hours of sunlight for maximum amount of blooms.

Water: Water regularly allowing soil to dry slightly between watering, but not completely dry. Letting the soil dry completely can cause stress and weaken this plants performance. Water underneath the foliage to keep flowers upright.

Planting: Bidens have a trailing growing habit making them great for hanging baskets and large patio pots. Foliage creates a mound and continues to cascade over the edge of the container. Plant with other sun loving annuals like Petunias, Geraniums, or Marigolds.

Deadheading: Deadheading is not mandatory, but will help keep this plant looking healthy and neat. Yellow flowers fade to brown and will release seeds.
