Dwarf Sunflowers

Dwarf Sunflowers are a fall annual must-have! Who doesn’t like the look of these wonderful, happy rays of sunshine? Our homegrown dwarf sunflowers are great for small places where growing the traditional tall sunflower might be tricky. These are great plants to watch grow, as each flower unfolds bright yellow color. Watch them grow and bring inside for fresh cut flowers to decorate your home with or leave them be outside and watch the birds enjoy their seeds. This sunflower will offer 4-5 flowers on a single stem. Once the flowers are done blooming keep for bird watching or discard plant.

Light: Plant or grow in full to part sun. Provide at least 4-5 hours of sunlight.

Water: Water regularly to keep soil evenly moist. The smaller the container the more often it will need water. Place smaller containers in less light or water more often as needed. Transplant to a larger container or plant in the ground to help retain more moisture.

Planting: These Dwarf Sunflowers have a compact growing habit that excel in containers. Pair with other sun-loving annuals like, Zinnias, Biden, or Marigolds during the fall season.

Deadheading: If you are into bird watching keep the spent flowers for the birds to enjoy or cut and discard spent or faded flowers. Once all blooms are done, discard plant.
